Three armed miscreants thrashed a petrol station salesman after he dilly dallied to hand over the cash amount to them and then looted, at gun point, about Rs 65,000, a mobile phone and an ATM card from him, police said.

The victim has been identified as one Satya Prakash, who worked as a salesman of a petrol station, about 5 km from Kasaula near here, they said.

The incident happened on night of September 30 when the miscreants after thrashing him, shut Prakash inside the office of the petrol station following which they fled away with the booty, police said today.

Next morning when some truckers came to the petrol station, they made the salesman come out of the office and telephonically informed the owner Balbir Singh who, in turn tipped-off police.

Police visited the place and registered a case of robbery, combined with causing hurt in this regard.

Police said that they were still clueless about the culprits, yet the footage of the CCTV camera of the petrol station was being minutely examined in this regard.
