Hooda said that the 710-bedded National Cancer Institute would be country's first cancer hospital in government sector and a sum of about Rs 2,035 crore would be spent on it.

"The Cancer Institute would be set up at AIIMS-II in Badhsa, district Jhajjar. This institute would be set up within 45 months and would benefit the people of the entire country," he said in a release.

"This institute being set up in Haryana would prove to be a milestone in the field of prevention of cancer, its treatment, education and research," he further said.

The Congress MP said the Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership would be for research based on nuclear science.

The Bahadurgarh-Gurgaon via Chandu-Badli road near Jasaur Kheri village would cost Rs 244 crore, he added.
