A Haryana police sub inspector of Panchkula district has been suspended for allegedly summoning a minor girl and a woman during late evening hours and misbehaving with them.

Yesterday, the accused had called a minor girl and woman in connection with some case to the police post in Panchkula's Sector 19 during odd hours and allegedly misbehaved with them while there were no women police officers or any officials present there, an official release said here today.

"The chowki in-charge did not care for the instructions issued from time to time by the government and from the police headquarters (at Panchkula). Due to this, chowki in-charge has been suspended with immediate effect and transferred to the Police Lines in Panchkula," the release said.

Instructions have already been issued to all police personnel across the state that no women should be called to any police station or any police post except between 9 am and 5 pm and it should be done in presence of a woman police official.
