Police seize charas from house, owner absconding

Police today seized 800 grams of charas from a house in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Acting on a tip-off, the house of Bashir Ahmad Shah at Jangilnad village of Awantipora was raided and the narcotic substance was seized, a police spokesman said.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against the owner of the house who is absconding, he said, adding that a hunt has been launched to nab him.
