PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari anointed 'head of tribe'

Former Pakistan president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has been anointed as the head of the 'Zardari tribe'.

Zardari's 'Dastar Bandi' ceremony (making him head of the tribe) was held at Zardari House here yesterday.

The ceremony was attended by his sister Faryal Talpur and elder daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto.

The gathering also offered prayers for the children and teachers of the army-run school in Peshawar where 150 people, mostly children, were killed during an attack by the Taliban gunmen on December 16.

Although his son Bilawal Bhutto is the Chairman of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) but practically Zardari runs the affairs of the party.
