Mentha oil up 0.7% on rising demand

Oil for delivery in January 2015 edged up by 0.58%

Mentha oil prices rose 0.70% to Rs 724.10 per kg in futures trade today on rising demand in spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December gained Rs 5.10, or 0.70%, to Rs 724.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 52 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January 2015 edged up by Rs 4.30, or 0.58%, to Rs 734.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 194 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend at spot markets amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
