Prez condoles deaths in landslides in Arunachal

President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the loss of lives due to landslides in Arunachal Pradesh.

"In his message, the President said that he was deeply saddened that the landslides triggered by heavy rains yesterday in Arunachal Pradesh caused loss of lives, injuries and damage to property," an official statement said.

He asked the state government and other authorities to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones as well as medical assistance to the injured, it added.
