Prison inmate hangs self

A prison inmate allegedly committed suicide in his barrack in Basti district jail.

Chunni Lal, a native of Nagar area of Basti, hanged himself in his barrack late last night, according to home department sources.

Details of the case were not immediately known and the matter was being probed, sources said.
