Prohibitory orders imposed

Prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC has been promulgated in four police station areas here today after a religious body's proposal was disapproved by the East Singhbhum district administration.

The religious body wanted to organise a ceremony near Dimna road.

The proposal was disapproved and section 144 of CrPC was imposed in apprehension of law and order problem, official sources said.

The prohibitory orders will remain effective from today to August 9 across Mango, Olidih, Azadnagar and MGM police station areas, said Prabhat Kumar, sub-divisional officer of Dhalbhum.
