Punjab Congress hails Kasab's execution

The party maintained that his execution has conveyed the right message that India cannot and will not tolerate any act of terror even if it takes some time to follow the process of law.

A PPCC release said, "every law abiding citizen of the country feels relieved over the justice done in the case."

Saluting the legal and judicial system of the country, the party's state unit said that despite the live video footage of Kasab's acts of terror and killing people, due process of law was followed right from the trial court up to the President of India to ensure that he was allowed to exercise all legal options for his defence.
