Punjab govt asks depts to furnish backlog info

The Punjab government today directed all departments to immediately submit information on backlog of SC/BC quota cadre wise in a detailed format so that the welfare department could furnish a report.

All concerned authorities should ensure the timely submission of information along with details of backlog in the state, an official spokesman said.

He said instructions in this regard have also been issued earlier but some departments did not submit this information in set pro forma till date.

He said in the recently issued instructions it has been stated that the information should be submitted within one week.
