Police are yet to make any headway in cracking the murder of two relatives of Ola Cabs CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, a week after they were found dead in their Ludhiana residence.

A police spokesperson said today that investigations were on into the murder of 84-year-old Pushpawati Aggarwal and her daughter-in-law Sarita (55) who were murdered with sharp-edged weapons at their residence in Sher-e-Punjab colony on January 29.

Police earlier had detained the domestic maid Pooja for interrogation but released her following protests from domestic workers at Ferozepur road here.

Bhavish along with other members of his family was present at the funeral later.

The two victims, who are the mother and wife of prominent city cardiologist Dr Rakesh Aggarwal, were found in a pool of blood by Pooja who in turn called police.

There were injury marks on the neck and head of the victims, police said.

Dr Aggarwal and his son were not at home when the incident happened, police said adding that robbery could be a possible reason behind the double murder.
