Qasim said the selectors have picked a balanced side as after the Test series defeat against South Africa, everyone is looking towards the T20s and ODIs for the team to do well.

Azhar Ali, Faisal Iqbal, wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed and pacers Tanvir Ahmed, Rahat Ali and Ehsan Adil, who went for the Test series in South Africa have not been considered for the limited over games while senior batsman Younis Khan is only retained for the ODI series.
The uncapped players in the two squads include left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar and pacer Asad Ali both of whom were in the T20 squad that went to India but they didn't get a chance to play there.
Pakistan squads:
T20 SQUAD: Mohammad Hafeez (Capt), Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shahzad, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Zulfiqar Babar, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz, Umar Gul, Mohammad Irfan,Umer Amin and Asad Ali.
 
ODI SQUAD: Misbah-ul-Haq (Capt), Mohammad Hafeez, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman,, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz, Umar Gul, Mohammad Irfan, Imran Farhat.
