Rains continued to lash many parts of Punjab and Haryana for the third day today.
Chandigarh received moderate rainfall and the maximum temperature here settled at 34 degrees Celsius, a MeT Department official said here.
In Haryana, Panchkula, Karnal, Yamunanagar were among other places that received rains.
Patiala, Ludhiana, Mohali, Ropar and Jalandhar in Punjab were also lashed by rains.
The maximum temperatures today hovered in the range of 31-34 degrees Celsius at most places in Haryana and Punjab.
According to a forecast by the MeT department here, rains/thundershowers are likely at many places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days.
