Light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers occurred in isolated parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh even as weather was mainly dry over western parts of the state during last 24 hours.
Nazibabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the MeT department, chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Mankapur 3 and Khalilabad 1.
Moderate fog engulfed isolated places in the state, it said.
Temperature fell markedly in Faizabad division, appreciably fell in Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Agra, Meerut divisions, fell in Gorakhpur, Jhansi divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, it said.
It was largely below normal in Moradabad division, appreciably below normal in Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra, Bareilly divisions, below normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad, Meerut divisions and was normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
Weather would be mainly dry over the state while moderate fog would occur at isolated places, the MeT office said in a forecast.
