Raj govt gives Rs 19 lakh to wife of martyred CRPF jawan

The Rajasthan government today handed over a cheque of Rs 19 lakh to wife of slain CRPF jawan Jagdish Vishnoi, who was killed during a naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on March 11 this year.

The government also gave Rs 3 lakh in fixed deposit to his mother Chawali Devi.

Bikaner District Collector Anil Gupta said that Rs 1 lakh has already been provided to the slain jawan's wife Rachna Devi.

He said that a proposal for her compassionate appointment as grade-3 teacher has been sent to the Director, Primary Education department.

On March 11, Vishnoi was among 14 CRPF personnel who were killed in a naxal attack in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
