Rajasthan Police today announced cash rewards of Rs one lakh each for information leading to the arrest of five wanted accomplices of absconding criminal Anand Pal Singh.
"DG has announced the cash reward on heads of Rupendra Pal Singh, Devendra Pal Singh, Balbeer Singh, Mahipal Singh and Azad Singh who are wanted in the case of escape of Anandpal Singh," ADG ATS Umesh Mishra said.
They are the accomplices of Anand, who escaped from police custody while being taken back to Ajmer central jail from a court in Nagaur last year.
Anand was the head of a gang that is accused in multiple cases of robbery and extortion in Nagaur district and other parts of Rajasthan.
Anand carries a cash reward of Rs five lakh on his head. Initially, the reward on Anand was Rs one lakh which was later increased by the state government to Rs five lakh.
