RBI Chief offers worship to Lord Venkateswara

RBI Governor D Subbarao and his wife Urmila offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here today.

Temple sources told PTI that Subbarao had arrived here last night and after reaching the foot of the hills, he trekked on foot the 10 km long steep stairway leading to the hills.

After an overnight stay on the hills, Subbarao and Urmila paid their obeisance to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara this morning and left the hills, they said.
