Record Single Day production by steel melting shop-II of RSP
Steel Melting Shop-II (SMS-II) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set new benchmarks by casting 67 heats and producing 10050 Tonnes of crude steel in a single day yesterday.
The previous daily best was of 9584 Tonnes of crude steel made September 30, 2015 with a casting of 63 heats, RSP said in a release.
Ashwini Kumar, CEO of RSP along with other senior officers visited SMS-II today and interacted with the SMS-II collective. He congratulated the SMS-II collective as well as the associated departments for such a commendable feat.
