Refined palmolein prices eased in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseed market here today due to reduced offtake from retailers.
While, groundnut oil and linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices also fell owing to lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.

In the futures market, castorseeds for September fell owing to reduced speculative selling amidst subdued export enquiries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 582 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 588. However, groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 950 per 10kg.
Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold declined by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 3,540 from Rs 3,555 and castoroil commercial also went down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 738 as against Rs 741 previously. Linseeds oil closed unaltered at Rs 740 per 10kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed for September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,580 and later climbed to Rs 3,600 before drifting to end at Rs 3,556 from Rs 3,597 previously, showing a net loss of Rs 41 per tonne.
