Refined soya oil prices moved down by 1.22 per cent to Rs 583.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions amid fall in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month declined by Rs 7.20, or 1.22 per cent to Rs 583.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 60,095 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February contracts shed Rs 6.45, or 1.05 per cent to Rs 609.75 per 10 kg in 72055 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by speculators owing to low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
