Remand prisoner dies after being h

: A remand prisoner in Kannur prison died today at the Pariyaram medical college near the town, where he was admitted after he collapsed and vomitted blood, police said.

Vijayan (49) of Taliparamba, arrested for selling illicit liquor a week ago,was hospitalised yesterday after he vomitted blood and collapsed. He was a heart patient, they said.

The body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.
