Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana were present at the meeting. PCC chief and the CLP leader from Karnataka was also present in the meeting. There is a difficult political situation in Congress-ruled Andhra Pradesh over the issue of a separate statehood of Telangana. Chief Ministers and leaders of North Eastern states are not attending the meeting due to their engagements in elections in some of the states there.
