A CRPF jawan was injured when he was attacked with an axe by unidentified persons with an intention to snatch his rifle in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir today, police said.
Ashok Kumar, posted near mini-secretariat (deputy commissioner's office) in the south Kashmir district, suffered head injury in the attack, a police official said, adding the weapon snatching bid was foiled.
He said Kumar has been taken to a hospital and police have started investigation.
