Unidentified burglars barged into a house and made away with Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees in Vijay Nagar area here last night.
Based on a complaint filed by the house owner Goldy, a case was registered against unknown persons at Vijay Nagar police station today, police said.
Goldy, who works with a Delhi-based private firm, lives with his family in Vijay Nagar area. According to police, the incident took place when Goldy's house was locked as he and his family members had gone somewhere late last night.
He told police that Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and some jewellery were robbed from his house. Police are scanning footage of CCTVs installed in nearby areas to identify the accused, said a police officer.
Police were investigating the case and the accused would be arrested soon, the officer added.
