Singer Robbie Williams has quit pop group 'Take That' for the second time to focus on his new solo album with writing partner Guy Chambers.

The 39-year-old 'Candy' hitmaker, who rejoined the band in the year 2010 after a fifteen year gap, has turned down the band's seventh studio album, reported Daily Star.

Williams will bring out the album of covers and original tracks in the spring. The singer is also set to promote the album in smaller intimate theatres.

"Robbie feels rejuvenated about his solo career. He feels on top of his game right now and wants to continue his solo success. Robbie has been back in the studio with Guy Chambers, who co-wrote most of his biggest hits - including Angels," a source said.

"Ideally he would love to do the 'Take That' record and his swing album but that is just not possible - not when he is wanting to take time off to be a dad, too," the source added.

William's former bandmates will start working on their next album in February next year, the same time as he plans to release and tour his next album.
