Rs 70 lakh worth of adulterated coconut oil seized

A total of 6.4 tonnes of adulterated coconut oil, worth Rs 70 lakh, was seized from a godown near here today, sources in the Food Safety Department said.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials of the department raided the godown, sent the samples of the oil for testing and sealed the warehouse, they said.
