S Ramesh appointed CBEC member

Senior bureaucrat S Ramesh was today appointed as member in Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC).

Ramesh, a 1981 batch officer of Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), is presently working as Director General of Systems.

The CBEC is an apex body on indirect taxes under the Department of Revenue.
