Saddened by Sridevi's untimely death: Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today expressed grief over the death of veteran actress Sridevi.

"Saddened at the untimely passing away of Sridevi, one of the most popular actors of a generation. Condolences to her family, her colleagues in the industry and fans," Banerjee posted on her Twitter handle.

Sridevi, who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, passed away yesterday in Dubai at the age of 54.
