Salam lone RS candidate in Manipur

Former minister for Minority and Other Backward Classes Abdul Salam is the lone Congress candidate for the coming Rajya Sabha seat in Manipur.

Salam was the only candidate who filed nomination papers for the lone Rajya Sabha seat for which election would be held on February 7, officials said.

Sitting Rajya Sabha member and former chief minister of Manipur Rishang Keishing had earlier said that he would not seek re-election.
