The headmaster of a government school was arrested after 58 LPG cylinders allegedly stolen from a godown here were recovered from his possession, police said today.
Fifty-eight cooking gas cylinders, including 13 empty ones, were stolen from Hindustan Petroleum (HP) company's godown near Biora police station area here on November 19," rural police station's inspector in-charge Mukesh Gaud said.
Acting on a tip off, police picked up Jhakri-based primary school headmaster Hiralal Rohit and recovered 58 cylinders from him yesterday following which he was arrested, he said.

Hiralal used to allegedly purchase stolen cylinders and then sell them in the black market, he said.
One Mukesh Gupta and three of his accomplices had allegedly stolen the cylinders from the godown after receiving an advance payment of Rs 15,000 from Hiralal, Gaud said.
A hunt has been launched to nab Gupta and three others involved in the offence, he added.
