Most parts of Uttar Pradesh reeled under hot spell with Etawah in western part of the state recording the highest at 46.7 degree Celsius.
Weather remained mainly dry in the state and temperature in Agra and Meerut divisions was appreciably above normal.
In Moradabad and Jhansi division the temperature was above normal while it was below normal in Gorakhpur division, meteorological department said.
Meanwhile, day temperatures fell in Allahabad, Lucknow, Bareilly and Meerut divisions.
The maximum temperature at 46.7 deg C was recorded at Etawah.
According to the MET department, weather would be mainly dry over the state and dust storm would occur at one or two places over west UP.
