Security was stepped up in central Delhi today and special traffic arrangements were made for the Shab-e-Baraat festival.
The festival has often witnessed instances of stunt biking and rash driving by youngsters in previous years, for which over 100 special teams have been deployed in strategic locations tomorrow, a senior official said.
The Muslim community will be observing the festival intervening between today and tomorrow, wherein a large number of devotees from Delhi and outside are likely to participate in offering prayers at various graveyards and mosques in Delhi.

The security arrangement and traffic diversions will last till 6 AM tomorrow, a senior police official said.
The officer said that major roads will be barricaded and special checking teams equipped with alcometers will be deployed at major intersections to detect and prosecute traffic violations.
PCR and local police will also be deployed to identify and prosecute two-wheeler riders who are observed indulging in stunt biking.
