Select base metals regains on global cues

Meanwhile, nickel declined due to lower demand from alloy industries.

The industrial metal recovered at the LME, though gains were capped as uncertainty ahead of the US elections curbed investors' appetite for riskier assets.

Tin spurted by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,325 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,320.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and aluminium utensils slipped by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 483, Rs 511 and Rs 113 from Rs 481, Rs 509 and Rs 111 respectively.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting and zinc inched down by a rupee per kg each to Rs 474, Rs 464, Rs 437, Rs 459 and Rs 135.

 

However, nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,045 from Rs 1,050.
