Select base metals softens in a listless trade

Select copper and zinc prices softened in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on reduced stockist offtake amidst mute demand from industrial users.

Copper cables scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and zinc prices inched-down by a Re per kg each to Rs 500, Rs 528, Rs 474 and Rs 158, respectively.
