Select copra climbs on good offtake at spices market

Select copra including copra rajapur mumbai and copra edible mumbai climbed at the spices market here today following good demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.

Elsewhere, black pepper prices advanced owing to rising demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, all other copra varieties ruled stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Copra rajapur mumbai rose by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 11,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 10,500 and copra edible mumbai moved up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,400 as compared to Rs 7,300 yesterday.

Black pepper went up by Rs 10/10 per kg to Rs 740/790 as against Rs 730/780 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 740/790 (730/780), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 5,700 (5,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,600 (5,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,000 (10,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,400 (7,300).
