Select copra recovers, black pepper rises on good demand

Copra office Alappuzha, Copra office Kozhikode rose at the spices market on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

While, black pepper also gained on good export offtake.

However, Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell owing to lower demand from consumer.

Meanwhile, ginger and copra edible Mumbai ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode climbed by Rs 200 per quintal each to 7,400 and Rs 7,300 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 7,200 and Rs 7,100.

Black pepper surged by Rs 16/11 per kg to Rs 741/811 from Rs 725/800.

However, Copra Rajapur Mumbai dropped by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 16,200 as against Rs 16,500 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 741/811 (725/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 210 (210), ginger unbleached (per kg) 230 (230), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,400 (7,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,300 (7,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,200 (16,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,100 (9,100).
