Seven year imprisonment in rape case

A fast track court today sentenced two persons to seven years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 each on them in a rape and abduction case.

Special Judge, fast track court, Ambala Vimlesh Tanwar announced the sentence to Teja Singh and Jaswinder Kaur.

According to prosecution, Teja Singh had abducted a 16-year-old girl on September 13, 2012 from Ambala City. Jaswinder Kaur was also accompanying him.

Teja Singh took the girl to some unknown place and then raped her.

After a few days, police recovered the victim and on the her complaint, registered a case under section 376, 366 and 120B against Teja Singh and Jaswinder Kaur.
