Ship runs aground, rescued

A ship with a crane ran

aground before crossing the Pamban Cantilever bridge, but brought back to the deep waters with the help of boats, officials said.

The ship was on way to Chennai from Tuticorin when it ran aground.

It took one hour to rescue the ship and bring to deep waters, the officials said.
