SHTO Workers Union urges Govt to release pending 4 months pay

The technical wing of State Health Transport Organisation (SHTO) Workers Union today urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to release the pay dues which is pending since June this year.

"We the technical staff of SHTO is appealing the Director Family Welfare Jammu and Srinagar to release the pay dues of tech staff which is pending from June to September 2014," a press release issued by the SHTO Workers union said here.

The workers said they were facing severe problems in carrying out their daily chores due to lack of salary and they were also unable to pay school fee of their wards.
 

They said schools have threatened to rusticate their children if the payment is not deposited at the earliest.

The Union said if the dues are not cleared they would go on a strike and appealed to the state government to release the salaries within 15 days.
