Silver down by 0.3% on weak global cues

Amid weakening trend overseas, silver prices fell by Rs 93 at Rs 34,305 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.
Silver for delivery in far-month May 2016 traded lower by Rs 93, or 0.27%, to Rs 25,724 per kg in a business turnover of four lots in futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in March was trading Rs 79, or 0.23% lower, at Rs 33,904 per kg with a business turnover of 240 lots.
In the international market, silver was little changed at $13.91 an ounce in Singapore.
