Six IGs promoted to rank of ADGPs in J-K

The Jammu and Kashmir government has promoted six Inspector General of Police (IGPs) to the rank of Additional director General of Police (ADGPs) in the state, an official spokesperson said.

The Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, approved the promotion of six IPS officers of 1993 and 1994 batches of J-K Cadre to the grade of ADGP -- Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) with immediate effect, he said.

The IPS officers include Deepak Kumar, IPS on Proforma basis andS J M Gillani IPS, Abdul Ghani Mir IPS, Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria IPS, Alok Puri IPS and Muneer Ahmad Khan IPS, the spokesperson said.
