Six injured in LPG cylinder blast

Six persons were injured today when a LPG cylinder kept in a hotel burst, partially damaging a nearby Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation wine shop, police said.
The hotel had opened after renovation and the cook had lit the burner in the kitchen when the cylinder exploded, triggering a fire which damaged the hotel.
The kitchen room was gutted and the cook and his two assistants were injured. A nearby TASMAC wineshop was partially damaged in the impact of the explosion and three persons present there were injured.

Fire service personnel doused the blaze at the hotel.
The injured have been admitted to hospital.
Yesterday, four employees sustained burns in an LPG cylinder blast at a hotel in Attur in the district.
