Six people, including a father-son duo, were killed and three injured when the SUV in which they were travelling was hit by a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place on Thursday night near Dhanauli in Nanpara area.
Dharmendra Soni (45), Virendra (55), Suresh (45), his son Ashish (12), Rambabu (19) and car driver Armaan (35) were going to attend a marriage party in their SUV when it was hit by a speeding truck, Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Grover said.
Three, including a four year old child were injured in the incident and were rushed to the hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable.
The truck has been seized while its driver managed to flee the spot.
