This will be the first CPP general body meeting in the budget session of Parliament which commenced in March. It is also the first occasion for Gandhi to interact with party MPs after the electoral debacle in UP and defeat in Punjab and Goa.
Gandhi's interaction comes a day after the government completed the crucial budgetary exercise with the passage of the Finance Bill.
Congress has so far not opened its cards on nominating the Presidential candidate.
