Soybean prices came down by Rs 9 to Rs 3,356 per quintal in futures trade today, tracking weak overseas cues as investors preferred to cut down bets.
Marketmen said trimming of the holdings by participants in line with a subdued overseas trend led to a fall in soybean futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean delivery for October slid by Rs 9, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 3,356 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,590 lots.
Similarly, the delivery for November shed Rs 8, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 3,342 per quintal, with an open interest of 19,200 lots.
