Speeding truck crushes 2 bikes; 3 killed

Three persons were killed today when a speeding truck mowed down two motorcycles here, police said.

The truck first hit a bike, killing 21-year-old Abdul Saleem and severely injuring his mother Kausar, police said.

The truck driver then tried to flee the spot, when he hit another bike, crushing 35-year-old Shehzad and his 32-year-old wife Reshma to death, they said.

The truck, which was found in a ditch, has been seized and a hunt is on for the driver, they said.
