Sri Lankan registered high speed boat seized

A Sri Lankan registered high speed boat with a powerful outboard motor was seized off Narikuzhi village by coastal marine police early this morning.

The Talaimannar registered boat was 18 feet long and six feet wide and capable of escaping even a hot chase, an official who did not wish to be named said.

He said efforts were on to find out who had come in the boat 'at an unusual location' and their purpose for visiting India.
