Sriganganagar was today the hottest place in Rajasthan as the mercury inched close to 46 degrees Celsius in the town.
The maximum temperature recorded Sriganganagar was 45.8 degree Celsius followed by Bikaner which registered a day temperature of 45.2 degrees, the MeT office here said.
Churu, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Ajmer, Kota and Jaipur recorded maximum of 44.8, 43.9, 43, 42.8, 42.6 and 41.8 degree Celsius respectively, it said.
Meanwhile, light rains occurred in Kota, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Sikar recorded light rains due to upper air circulation.
The weather conditions would remain tomorrow, a forecast said.
