SSKM submits medical report of blast accused to court

Authorities of SSKM Hospital today submitted the medical report of Burdwan blast accused Abdul Hakim to the NIA-designated special court at the City Sessions Court.

Earlier, the counsel for the NIA urged the court that directions be given for submission of the medical reports of Hakim who was admitted to the hospital after being injured in the blast.

The NIA pleaded that Hakim could not be interrogated as he was hospitalised and unware of his medical conditions.

Counsel for the NIA told reporters that the SSKM authorities had submitted the medical reports of Hakim to the court.

"We will now wait for the court's further directions", he said.
 

The blast, which took place on October 2 and claimed two lives, was being probed by the NIA to determine whether it had terror links.
